DINA’S IN ACTION

DINA ASHER-SMITH has confirmed she will compete in the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Poland in March.

More than a year of no competition has left Britain’s fastest-ever woman in need of races and she starts her season in Karlsruhe, Germany this evening.

“I haven’t done 60 metres since 2018 because I’ve been trying to train through and focus on the outdoor season,” she said. “I’m excited to give it a genuine go.”

But bad news saw the cancellation of ‘Night of 10,000m PBs’, arguably the most popular event on the domestic calendar.

Safety concerns forced the June 5 Highgate event to be scrapped by organiser Ben Pochee.
