Bielsa in no rush to talk

- By David Anderson

MARCELO BIELSA will wait until the end of the season before opening talks over a new contract with Leeds.

The club are delighted with the progress under Bielsa in their first season back in the Premier League for 16 years and are keen for him to remain.

However, he will not deviate from his policy of waiting until the campaign is over before beginning discussions.

Bielsa, right, is 100 per cent focused on the team and believes opening talks while they are still playing could be a distraction.

Leeds are relaxed about his stance and the 65-year-old has agreed at the end of his previous two campaigns to carry on for another season.

The club are quietly confident Bielsa will commit to another season at Elland Road.
