Unmask these evil trolls

THE world unfortunately has many unpleasant characters in it, even worse than the mind-boggling bureaucrats in Brussels, and it seems that most of these people can be found on social media as anonymous trolls.

The profanities, gratuitous insults and even death threats are all done behind a virtual cloak hiding their identity. Often teenagers and women are the targets.

The case of Tara Jane Langston, 40, is a perfect example of why a crackdown is needed. She was targeted after a video of her gasping with Covid went viral.

So Richard Madeley is right to call for a change in the law to ensure that people who register social media accounts have to give their identities.Then they would have nowhere to hide.
