KATIE’S THE MOTHER OF ALL LOVE AND KINDNESS WITH HARVEY

JEX-GLAMOUR model Katie Price, formerly known as Jordan, blew my mind this week in a BBC documentary about her struggles to find an adult residential college for her 18-year-old severely disabled son Harvey.

The sheer, aching maternal love which surrounds Katie and her boy is as hard as a diamond shield. Harvey has a host of rare congenital syndromes, meaning he has the cognitive age of a seven-year-old. He’s also autistic, almost blind and severely obese.

But Katie’s love for him has fostered a deep sweetness in

Harvey, a sense of fun and kindness. There’s not a shred of self-pity in Katie, just tough dedication to meeting her boy’s needs.

She left me weepy and breathless with admiration. Mother love is the most powerful force on Earth.
