Robin Hood’s stock rises

A SOCIETY devoted to the legend of Robin Hood enjoyed a surge in interest after being confused with a stock-trading platform.

TheWorldWide Robin Hood Society now has almost 40,000 followers after some Twitter users mistook it for the Robinhood app.

The US trading platform received complaints for restricting trading in electronics company GameStop. Its Nottingham-based namesake tweeted: “Lovely to have all these new followers. Can we just check that you know you’re following The World Wide Robin Hood Society and not the Robinhood App. If so... a big welcome from Sherwood.”
