Tommy’s rocking on
TOMMY Fleetwood eagled his final hole to lie two shots off the lead at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
The Ryder Cup star, seeking his first win since November 2019, carded a secondround 68 at the Emirates Golf Club.
The world No19, who has now made 48 out of 50 cuts on the European Tour since 2018, said: “It’s pretty tough out there. Pars are good so I felt
like I was in control for a lot of the day.” Belgium’s Thomas Detry led after a 67, with Scot Robert MacIntyre (68) a stroke back in second place. World No5 Tyrrell Hatton, who won in Abu Dhabi last week, bounced back from his opening 76 with a 64. “The goal was to make the cut so I’m really happy,” said the Englishman.
