FRIDAY practice sessions have been cut by 30 minutes in a bid to spice up the action.

The two free practice sessions will now each be one hour long.

“It will force the teams to cram in more on-track action,” the official Formula One website said.

In another change, races will start on the hour again, rather than 10 minutes past.
