BRENDAN RODGERS says it is a joy to see Leicester’s young guns thrive after insisting he became a boss to develop stars.
James Maddison, 24, Harvey Barnes, 23, James Justin, 22, and Wesley Fofana, 20, have all excelled as Rodgers has guided Leicester to third in the league, two points off the top.
The Foxes manager said: “Seeing James’ maturity, seeing Harvey blossom, it’s great viewing. That’s what you’re looking for.
“It’s the great joy of managing and coaching people, that love to see them perform and develop.
“The essence of why I moved into this work was to try to help people be the best they can be. To see it on a daily basis is very satisfying.”
