Where’s Walli? Star David hits the road
DAVID Walliams is taking the play of his children’s book Billionaire Boy on tour – with theatre-goers enjoying it from their cars.
The Britain’s Got Talent star first hit the road with the show last year but it was halted by Covid.
Now he, Birmingham Stage Company and the Coalition Agency are bringing back the tale of Joe Spud, the world’s richest boy.
Joe’s dad Len made his fortune from Bumfresh loo roll and the book’s hero now has a sports car and pet crocodiles – but no friends. The play restarts its run in April, visiting places including Bristol Airport, Knebworth House and Newbury Racecourse.
David said: “I hope this spreads happiness in these difficult times.”
