Out of this world snap eclipses the rest in top contest
THE startling beauty of a solar eclipse is captured in this breathtaking picture.
The stunning snap helped Vladimir Alekseev scoop the Travel Photographer of the Year award for 2020.
His other entries included an electrifying shot of lightning bolts over Tver, Russia.
Russian photographer Vladimir perfectly captured the moon covering the sun in
Svalbard, Norway. He said: “It was one of the most important and impressive astronomical events. I managed to capture this amazing moment.”
More than 25,000 images were submitted from photographers in 147 countries for the annual awards.
