Fundraising is pointless if money is just tossed away
AS A Poppy Appeal organiser of 22 years and with a son who has been in the Army for more than 30 years, it was astounding to read that more than £100,000 was spent on a new logo (“Poppycock!”, January 25).
What moron thought up that idea? In our village we raised a record amount in 2020, in excess of £10,000, and we were delighted this would go towards helping those who were in need.
Seeing 10 times that amount squandered drives me to despair. Irving Prowse,
