‘Luiz is a great example’

ARSENAL’S impressive youngsters will lead the club into the future, but for now Mikel Arteta’s lieutenant on the pitch is the muchmaligned David Luiz.

The Gunners made it four consecutive home clean sheets in all competitions for the first time since April 2019 and manager Arteta hailed Luiz, right, as “key” saying: “He’s a great example for the younger players.

“They listen to him, not only because of who he is and what he has done in the game, but because they see how he behaves every day. You need some big leadership in your team if you want to be successful.”
