New sensation Eze urged to copy Jack
ROY HODGSON has urged Eberechi Eze to commit his international future to England – just as Jack Grealish did.
The Crystal Palace attacker has become one of the most exciting players in the top flight in his first season at Selhurst Park.
But Greenwich-born Eze, 22, is in a tug of war between England and Nigeria, the country of his parents.
Hodgson persuaded Grealish to select the
Three Lions over Ireland while in charge of the national side, and he sees similarities.
After watching Eze hit a 60th-minute winner, boss Hodgson said: “I needed to speak to Jack to persuade him he was good enough to play for England.
“I’d say the same to Eberechi Eze at the moment.”
