PFA: DON’T PASS BUCK ON RACISM
THE PFA have hit out at Twitter and Facebook for claiming footballers should simply block racists.
It comes after Marcus Rashford, below, joined Manchester United team-mates Axel Tuanzebe and Anthony Martial – along with West Brom’s Romaine Sawyers and Chelsea’s Reece James – in being racially abused online in the past week. The Professional Footballers’ Association accused the social media companies of betraying the players it indicated it was ready to protect in meetings last year.
