The Darwin team struggles to save patients as the hospital goes into lockdown. Cameron faces being exposed as completely out of his depth, and is forced to phone Nicky for advice in theatre as it all gets too much. Alex tries to help a stressed Donna to remain calm, stirring up some unresolved feelings, while Dom decides to return to the world of internet dating. Film: Waterworld, ITV4, 9pm

In the future, environmen­tal disasters have left the planet flooded. A web-footed mutant mariner helps a woman and an orphan girl search for a mythical haven of dry land, with the help of a map tattooed on the child’s back – but in the process has to fend off a villainous crew of nicotine-addicted pirates. Sci-fi adventure, starring Kevin Costner, Jeanne Tripplehor­n and Tina Majorino (above) with Dennis Hopper.

Food: Rick Stein’s Secret France, BBC2, 7pm

Rick Stein (left) slathers some rabbit joints in mustard, browns them in duck fat and accompanie­s them with crème fraiche and tarragon. It’s excellentl­y, rustically French and looks delicious, though he acknowledg­es that as some Brits are squeamish about eating rabbit, it works as well with chicken. It’s a typical demo in his culinary tour of France – casual and understate­d, but with a love of French food. He’s heard the food culture isn’t what it used to be and wants to discover – as he pilots his Porsche through Normandy – if he can still stumble on tucked-away cafés with menus chalked on a blackboard that serve the food of the gods.

Film: Secret Safari: Into The Wild, C4, 8pm

A poor zebra foal is threatened by a leopard that has stolen into the herd’s enclosure, while a teenage rhinoceros, which is reluctant to leave his mother’s side, is encouraged by rangers to find a mate. Meanwhile, a hyena cub that is the runt of his litter, and is used to coming last when the food is divided up between all of his siblings, chances on some luck when he comes across a dead antelope.

Soap: EastEnders, BBC1, 7.30pm

Whatever Chelsea’s up to, it’s unlikely to go the way she wants. Her dad knows the loving daughter routine is fake and her mum cannot believe she is so ready to forgive. Disaster is surely looming. Elsewhere, Linda’s suspicions grow as she is determined to get to the truth of the matter. Meanwhile, Honey snaps at Billy, after getting fed up with his behaviour. She also tries to clear the air and calls a family meeting to discuss her relationsh­ip with Jay. With Danny Dyer (right).
