This musical is based on the classic novel by Jean Webster that inspired the 1955 film starring Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron.
Set in turn-of-the-century New England, it is the story of orphan Jerusha Abbott and the mysterious benefactor who agrees to send her to college.
In her letters, Jerusha addresses her unknown patron as ‘Daddy Long Legs’ after seeing his elongated shadow against a wall. Starring Ryan Bennett (Jersey Boys) as Daddy Long Legs and Rebecca JayneDavies (Half A Sixpence) as Jerusha, this Built By Barn production ran at the Barn Theatre in 2019 and marked the first time a UK theatre had produced the award-winning musical.

Lorien Haynes’ romantic comedy stars Sian Clifford (Fleabag) and Nikesh Patel (Artemis Fowl) as two friends attempting to come to terms with the death of a woman they loved.
Structured around the five stages of grief – denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance – it oscillates between comedy and despair. The friends joke, squabble in an Ikea car park (who doesn’t?) and cling to each other for comfort in a hotel bedroom.
A truthful and honest examination of the conflicting emotions that can affect all of us following the loss of a loved one, it throbs with emotion and is very timely.
