Comic Matt kicked off Dancing On Ice
COMEDIAN Matt Richardson was voted off the rink just days after being drafted into Dancing On Ice.
The 29-year-old and his professional partner Vicky Ogden had been bottom of the leaderboard on the ITV show with 23.5 points.
And so it was no surprise to see them lose out in a skate-off with former athlete Colin Jackson and partner Klabera Komini who had earlier scored 29.
After the skate-off Matt said: “I’m quite relieved, it was the most fear-inducing thing
I have ever done. It has been phenomenal.”
He had been brought into the show this week as a stand-in after fellow comedian Rufus Hound tested positive for Covid-19.
Matt joked: “It’s like double time
(performing twice in one night).
“I came in last minute so it has been a lovely in-and-out experience, which most of my life is!” Elsewhere on the show there was a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard with soap actors Faye Brookes and Joe-Warren Plant and rapper Lady Leshurr all scoring 32.5. Earlier yesterday Billie Shepherd said she was “so gutted” after withdrawing from the hit show following a fall on the rink.
The reality TV star, 31, suffered concussion after hitting her head while rehearsing with professional partner Mark Hanretty.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star’s exit was announced on Saturday after doctors said she must miss the show. Contestants are only permitted one week’s bye and Billie had already missed last week due to a family bereavement.
