HOLLY PARKER

-

HOLLY Parker has found online lessons “incredibly difficult”.

The deaf first-year in paramedic science often has to interrupt lecturers so that her note taker and captioners can join the lecture.

She said it “is quite stressful to sort when I should be focusing on notes”. Holly, 19, left – studying at St George’s, London – also faces distorted sound, wi-fi glitches and lectures overrunning, “meaning I lose my captioner”.

She added: “The lecturers go at such a speed that my captioners are five minutes behind. This makes it incredibly hard for me to participate.”
