DROGO TO ADD TO SKELTON’S STELLAR SEASON

- By The Scout

DAN and Harry Skelton can continue their remarkable run of success with MY DROGO (1.30, nap, ITV) at Kelso.

Trainer Dan is on the coat tails of Paul Nicholls for the trainers’ title and brother Harry is in with a shout of becoming champion jockey for the first time.

Skelton has made no secret of how high he rates My Drogo. “He’s up there with the best I’ve had,” said the trainer.

The six-year-old’s success at Ascot in December was enhanced by the third home, Soaring Glory, who romped home to win the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury.

Nicholls can strike at the Scottish track with FLASH COLLONGES (2.05, ITV).

He showed the benefit of a longer trip when beating Malinello atWincanton in January.

The weights give ASO (2.40, ITV) a cracking chance to turn the tables on Two For Gold, who he meets on 9lb better terms for his neck defeat at Warwick last month.

Emmet Mullins, on the mark with Cape Gentleman at Kempton last Saturday, can make another successful trip from Ireland with THE SHUNTER (3.15, nb, ITV).

The gelding took a smart hurdle contest at Cheltenham on his penultimate outing. PRESENT MAN (1.15, treble, ITV) will be hard to catch in the veterans chase at Newbury. The step-up in trip will see THE BIG BITE (1.50, ITV) return to the winners’ enclosure, while GO MILLIE GO (2.20, ITV) is expected to make it three wins on the bounce at Doncaster.

After decent performances against smart rivals, BALLYWOOD (2.55, ITV) will relish this drop in grade, and trainer Alan King and jockey Tom Cannon can double-up with CANELO (3.30, ITV).
