Magic for McCann
LEAGUE ONE
GRANT McCANN was thrilled after Hull kept their promotion push on course with a 3-0 win at Plymouth.
Keane Lewis-Potter, Josh Magennis and Greg Docherty were on target for the league leaders.
“The boys were excellent,” said boss McCann. “We looked really threatening every time we went forward.”
Peterborough, three points behind with a game in hand, won 3-0 at
Swindon where Siriki Dembele scored a brace and Jonson Clarke-Harris made up for a missed penalty with a late strike.
Sunderland lost ground on the top two as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Charlton to end a 14-game unbeaten run.
Josh Scowen’s own-goal put the Addicks in front, and Alex Gilbey made it 2-0 on the hour before Scowen then headed in at the right end.
AFC Wimbledon moved out of the drop zone with a 5-1 rout of
Accrington.
