EFL GAMES CLEARED
FOOTBALL fixtures will take place next Saturday on the day of Prince Philip’s funeral.
EFL chiefs have been given the green light to play matches in the Championship, League One and Two but the 3pm kick-off times will be moved to avoid any clash with the Duke’s funeral, which starts at 3pm. Football Association chiefs are also waiting for Government advice on whether the 5.30pm FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Manchester City can go ahead at Wembley.
Other games are going ahead in the Premier League on Saturday so the FA will hope that game can be played or even moved back to fit in with BBC schedules.
