Twitchers flock to see Tibetan visitor
A RARE bird that flew 4,000 miles to Britain for the first time has sent twitchers into a flap.
Dozens chartered boats to tiny Lundy Island, off the Devon coast, to spot the sulphur-bellied warbler, a visitor from mountainous Tibet.
One said: “I’ve spent years scouring the globe for this bird.” Another rejoiced: “I can’t believe I saw it on its first day here.”
Expert Josh Jones added: “There’s nothing more exciting than a new species for Britain.”
