Reality: 24 Hours In A&E, C4, 9pm

This documentar­y films around the clock in some of Britain’s busiest A&E department­s. Viewers get a glimpse into the incredible work of the emergency services and meet patients whose families are holding out hope for their loved ones. Tonight, a 76-year-old is rushed to St George’s with a deep head cut, a mother remembers learning to love the colour of her skin after suffering racial abuse growing up and Vicky (left) puts her trust in the capable hands of the busy team.

Health: Cook Clever, Waste Less With Prue & Rupy, C4, 8.30pm

Dr Rupy Aujla and Prue Leith help two busy doctors, Preeti and Sanjeev (above with Prue), from Manchester with three children, coming up with a menu that will please everyone and reduce waste. Recipes include a chicken and cauliflowe­r traybake, rice pudding that makes use of leftover rice, and a hack that turns an old bag of salad into a salsa verde.

Film: Kingsman: The Secret Service, Film4, 9pm

A streetwise teenager Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton, left), whose late father worked as a spy, lives in a south London housing estate with his mother and her abusive boyfriend. Eggsy is going down the wrong path and seems headed for a life behind bars until he is taken under the wing by his father’s old colleague, dapper agent Harry Hart. He sees the potential in the troubled youth and recruits him to be a trainee in the secret service. Will Eggsy prove to be a chip off the old block and turn out to be useful during a battle against a hi-tech villain? Action comedy, based on a comic book, also starring Colin Firth and Samuel L Jackson.

Comedy: Inside No 9, BBC2, 10pm

In the final episode of the series, Dawn and Mick (Steve Pemberton, above left) are hosting their annual Last Night of the Proms party as the perfect antidote to post-Brexit Britain, with everyone expected to wave their Union flags and sing Land Of Hope And Glory. But Dawn’s sister Penny has seen a stranger lurking around the streets and her husband Brian (Reece Shearsmith, above right) isn’t feeling very patriotic.

Soap: Coronation Street, ITV, 9pm

Chesney and Gemma butt heads tonight when Chesney invites Freda to come round after being told that Aled is an ideal candidate for the cochlear implant operation. However, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell, right) doesn’t agree with Chesney and remains adamant that Aled isn’t having the op. Elsewhere, a distraught Nina continues to turn to alcohol in order to seek an escape from her ongoing grief for Seb, which leaves Roy and Noah worried sick.
