ERIKSEN TALKING TO TEAM-MATES

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN Face-Timed his Denmark team-mates yesterday as the doctor who treated him for a cardiac arrest on the pitch said: “He was gone.” Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand believes his players have been lifted by seeing the Inter Milan and former Spurs forward, who suffered a cardiac arrest in Denmark’s defeat by Finland on Saturday.

He was resuscitat­ed by medics on the pitch, and Hjulmand said: “It was a very positive thing to see Christian.

“The most important thing was the conversati­on with Christian because up until that it is hard to move on.

“Typically Christian was concerned about us and his family.

“He said, ‘I don’t remember much but how are you doing?’ He’s a hell of a player but what a person he is as well. He would like for us to play. “Christian is a football player, he said that he feels like he would go out and play.
