Mushroom inferno in Russia

A GIANT mushroom fireball shoots hundreds of feet into the air after a petrol station exploded.

At least 25 people, including children, were injured in the blast at Akademgorodok, near Russia’s third largest city of Novosibirsk, shattering the windows of buildings nearby.

An eyewitness said: “One of the explosions thundered as the first fire engine got to the scene. Those who came to gawp were also burned.”
