Children get Long Covid NHS service
NHS England is launching 15 Long Covid clinics for children and young people.
The paediatric hubs, costing £70 million, will draw together experts on symptoms such as fatigue and breathing problems.
According to the Office for National Statistics, more than a million people have reported having Long Covid, including 7.4 per cent of children aged two to 11, and 8.2 per cent of those aged 12-16.
NHS Chief Executive Sir Simon Stevens called it a “major health challenge” that has caused “debilitating health issues”.
