THE REALITY IS I KEPT UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS FOR YEARS
SO FAREWELL then, Kardashians. After 14 years and 20 seasons Keeping Up With The Kardashians – or KUWTK – has breathed its last.
I know I should be ashamed of the hours and years I have squandered watching the cosmetic surgery, the failed relationships and the interior décor of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe,
Kendall, Kylie and their rotating cast of family and friends. However, I can’t apologise. I’ve loved every mind-blowing moment, only fast-forwarding through the set-piece activities designed to fill in the hours of airtime where nothing was actually happening at chez K.
I loved their transformation from reality TV wannabes to unsurpassed rulers of the medium. They morphed from normalish girls longing to be tailed by paparazzi to superstars with individual security details dedicated to safeguarding the privacy they had so easily sacrificed.
I will miss them dearly and don’t need my dead father to mutter disapprovingly: “For this you went to Cambridge?”
