‘Croc was silent as it took Mel’

THE Mexico backpacker who saved her sister in a “silent” crocodile attack says it made her twin cough “blood and bile”.

Georgia Laurie, 28, from Sandhurst, Berks, told This Morning: “I turned and saw her being taken underwater. There was no sound.”

She then saw Melissa’s body floating face down: “She was not responding at all… It comes back a second time, so I’m bashing it on the nose…

“Then a boat came by, but the crocodile came back a third time, that was when she sustained a lot of the injuries.”

Last night, Melissa – who suffered wounds to her arms, hands, legs and stomach – was still in hospital, while the twins’ parents were due to land in Mexico City.

Sue, 62, said: “Georgia wants me to come. She wants her mum.”
