Six fight it out for Crime Novel prize
THE six stories shortlisted for Crime Novel of the Year are set in locations as far apart as California, Somerset and India, it has been revealed.
But there’s just one debut author – Trevor Wood, with The Man On The Street featuring “Sherlock Homeless” Jimmy Mullen.
The others are: Chris Walker, for We Begin At The End; Rosamund Lupton – Three Hours; Elly Griffiths – The Lantern Men; Abir Mukherjee – Death In The East, and Brian McGilloway, with The Last Crossing.
The Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year – supported by the Daily and Sunday Express and byWH Smith – is in its 17th year and remains one of publishing’s most coveted awards.The winner, revealed on July 22, receives £3,000.
