Sport: Euro 2020: France v Germany, ITV, 7.10pm

France v Germany (Kick-off 8.00pm). All the action from the mouthwater­ing Group F fixture, which takes place at Fußball Arena München. This final match in the opening round of group games is arguably the most eagerly anticipate­d, with current world champions Les Bleus taking on Die Mannschaft. Both teams will want to lay down a marker here, especially to group rivals and defending European champions Portugal with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba (far left) and Kylian Mbappe (left) sure to shine. Presented by Mark Pougatch, with Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira, and commentary by Clive Tyldesley and Ally McCoist.

Books: Between The Covers, BBC2, 7.30pm

TV and radio presenter Sara Cox is ready for another literary jaunt through some of our favourite authors as she is joined by TV news presenter and Strictly Come Dancing sensation Ranvir Singh (left), comedians Micky Flanagan and Reginald D Hunter and actress and writer Sophie Willan as they discuss Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart, and The Frequency of Us by Keith Stuart. The guest panel also chat about their favourite books of all time. Last in the series.

Events conspire against Mick as he rushes to Linda’s scan. He’s forced to help when his taxi driver suffers a medical emergency. Elsewhere, Stuart and Rainie head to the police station about Abi, while Bernie attends her first weight-loss class. In the second episode, Linda and Mick (Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer, above) have a choice to make, while Ruby is given little choice about her pregnancy.

Film: Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Film4, 9pm

The nomadic vigilante tries to save an army major who has been framed for murder and treason. Jack Reacher discovers that Turner has been targeted by a secret government conspiracy, and together they go on the run to expose the truth. Director Edward Zwick’s blockbusti­ng action thriller sequel based on Lee Child’s novel, starring Tom Cruise (right), Cobie Smulders, Danika Yarosh and Aldis Hodge.

Documentar­y: Hospital, BBC2, 9pm

With the numbers of Covid cases dropping, the staff at University Hospital, Coventry, can catch up on surgery that should have been done months ago. Upbeat Anna had her scalp ripped off in a factory accident and has been waiting for reconstruc­tive surgery, Joe needs a bowel operation and Lee, whose leg was amputated several years ago, needs “tidying up” before he can get a prosthetic one fitted.
