Man held in double murder
MURDER detectives made an arrest yesterday after a man in his 60s and a woman in her 20s were found dead.
Officers called to a home in Basingstoke, Hants, in the early hours discovered the bodies.
Both had suffered serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.
Det Supt Neil Corrigan said: “We believe all parties involved were known to one another.”
It is not known how the victims died and post-mortems will follow. Forensic officers were last night making a detailed examination of the property.
