Tributes to terror victims

FAMILY and friends of the three men killed a year ago in a terror attack yesterday gathered to pay tribute.

LIbyan Khairi Saadallah, 26, stabbed history teacher James Furlong, 36, scientist Dr David Wails, 49, and pharmaceutical worker Joseph Ritchie-Bennett, 39, in Forbury Gardens in Reading last June.

At a memorial service there yesterday, Dr Wails’ friend Ken Murphy said: “They say time is

a great healer, but I don’t think we will ever recover from the loss of David, James and Joe.” Failed asylum seeker Saadallah, who also injured three others, is serving a whole-life sentence. Floral tributes to the three, left, were laid by park’s bandstand
