Yob faces jail after attack on demo cop
ATHUG who attacked a police officer during a Black Lives Matter protest was told he faces at least two years in jail.
Daniel Jordan, 22, admitted violent disorder at the demonstration in Whitehall, London, on June 6 last year.
Deputy District Judge Michael Snow, summarising video shown to Westminster Magistrates Court, said: “There’s a strike on the officer, a second strike at the officer, then he hits out at the officer again.
“We’ll commit it to the crown court for sentence. It has a starting point of two years’ imprisonment.”
Prosecutor Sudara Weerasena read a statement from the injured officer, saying: “I sustained bleeding and swelling around my nose. I was also dazed.”
Jordan, of Brockley, south east London, was bailed to face Southwark Crown Court.
