Foden: Gazza cuts all round if we win Euros
PHIL FODEN says his England team-mates have all agreed to get Gazzastyle hairdos if they win the Euros.
The Manchester City star has been christened the ‘Stockport Gazza’ after bleaching his cropped cut blond just like Paul Gascoigne did at Euro 96.
But the 21-year-old claims he will not be the only one looking like the former England great if the Three Lions go all the way this summer.
Foden said: “Do you know what? I told the team that if we win it they have to get the same haircut as me – and they all agreed.
“Hopefully, if we win it you will see everyone with the same haircut. Romania did it once. I would make everyone get the same haircut, which would be funny.”
Foden also claims fans and pundits criticising Gareth Southgate after the draw with Scotland “don’t know what they’re talking about”.
Southgate has been slammed as too cautious and negative on social media for not playing enough attacking players.
But Foden said: “He is a great coach – working with him every day you get to see what he is like. He always has the players’ backs and I believe that his tactics are great.
“All these negative people don’t know what they are talking about, because Gareth is a great coach.”
