UK stickers seem a bit woke to me

-

WHY on earth is the “GB” sticker on the back of cars being replaced by one saying “UK”? The official explanation is that it is to be “inclusive” to Northern Ireland, which is not part of Great Britain. But the GB sticker has been around since 1952 and Northern Ireland never seemed to mind. My suspicion is because it contains the word “Great” and some woke idiot somewhere thinks this is a boast about our Imperial past. In actual fact, “Great Britain” is the name of the island on which England, Scotland and Wales are nestled. Another piece of our history gone.
