Curbs lift is a boost for recruiters

RECRUITMENT groups Robert Walters and PageGroup are increasingly optimistic, with firms ramping up as economies start to reopen.

Many halted recruitment last year but vaccines and the lifting of curbs boosted economies so both groups raised full-year profit forecasts. Walters said second quarter gross profits rose 25 per cent to £89million after strong Asia growth. UK profit was up 9 per cent to £18million as London led the way.

PageGroup’s second quarter gross profits rocketed by 94.1 per cent to £219.7million.
