Rory’s tough-love fix
RORY McILROY is relishing the tough love of new coach Pete Cowen as he tries to turn himself into a Major force again.
McIlroy has been working with the Yorkshireman ahead of today’s Scottish Open, having stepped away from long-time coach Michael Bannon.
Four-time Major winner McIlroy said: “The great thing about Pete is he doesn’t sugarcoat it. So when he eventually tells you something is good you believe him. The more honest and blunt the better.” ●McIlroy was speaking at the launch of GolfPass on Sky Q. For information, visit sky.com/GolfPass
