PLAYER ANALYSIS

(4-2-3-1)

- By Harry Pratt

PICKFORD 6

Mistakes resurfaced with wild kick. Danish opener was first time beaten in six games. Couple of sharp saves.

WALKER 8

Made some brilliant interceptions when faced by Denmark’s dangerous duo. Best display yet.

STONES 7

Looked his usual calm self – even when under the cosh. His partnership with Maguire continues to blossom.

MAGUIRE 8

Tested more than at any time to date by Danish attack but coped well. Denied by Schmeichel. Booked.

SHAW 6

Sparkled in opening stages but gave away set piece that handed Denmark lead with foul on Christensen.

PHILLIPS 6

Set off like a train but pegged back and overrun on most difficult outing of tournament. Never stopped.

RICE 7

One half of the slick midfield engine room but normal service was missing in opening 45 minutes.

SAKA 8

Only change from Rome, the teenager did nothing to suggest the gaffer was wrong. Killer cross for crucial leveller.

MOUNT 7

Delivery at set pieces was not great early on but so busy in every area of Wembley. Non stop and clever with it.

STERLING 7

Lively combo with Shaw and got into danger zone when vacated by Kane – and forced own-goal equaliser.

KANE 7

Almost assist of the tournament after six minutes. Struggled before his pass released Saka for equaliser.

SUBSTITUTES

Grealish (Saka 69), Henderson (Rice 95), Foden (Mount 95), Trippier (Grealish 105). GOALS: Kjaer 39 og, Kane 104.
