I’m Robin Hood said ‘drug-run Briton’

A SUSPECTED British drug dealer is facing life in prison in Thailand after reportedly telling police he was a modern Robin Hood.

Mitesh GovindVarsani, 38, is said to have used the internet currency Bitcoin to buy cocaine, ketamine and Ecstasy.

Thailand police say he smuggled in the drugs under the guise of shipments of solar panels. He and his Thai girlfriend Siripon Suntonjamorn were arrested and detained after a police sting.

Varsani, who runs a solar panel installation business, is said to have admitted dealing drugs.

He allegedly told police: “I was only selling to people who were older than 30.

“I always shared some of the profits to people affected by the pandemic, just like Robin Hood.”
