Greggs boss’s half-baked attitude to cash handout

I COULDN’T believe my eyes when I read Greggs boss RogerWhiteside had said why should the company give back its £32million Covid rates relief from its profits unless everyone else did (“£50m Greggs keeps its Covid cash”,August 4).

You would think a company like that would set an example.

I love Greggs but will not be buying from there again.

Come on politicians, start putting pressure on companies, recoup some of this money that has been spent and fill the coffers.
