Roaming fees return in EU

-

VODAFONE is the latest network to bring back roaming charges.

New and upgrading mobile customers will have to pay up to £2 per day to use their monthly allowances in Europe.

From June 2017 roaming was part of all plans at no extra cost. But after Brexit, BT-owned EE was the first to reintroduce roaming charges in June.

Paolo Pescatore, an analyst from PP Foresight, said people should expect other providers will follow suit. He said: “Phone users will need to be savvier when travelling aboard.”
