In volcano’s line of fire

A HELICOPTER full of sightseers comes perilously close to a volcanic eruption.

This picture by Demiray Oral shows the moment the Fagradalsfjall volcano spat lava 300ft up to shocked tourists flying above the Geldingadalur Valley, Iceland.

The snapper, a Londoner now living in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, said the eruption was “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.
