Police fear detective murdered his son, 3
THE deaths of a police officer and his three-yearold son are being treated as a suspected murdersuicide, officials have revealed.
DC David Louden, 39, was found dead alongside his son Harrison last Friday after emergency services were called to an address when concerns were raised for the welfare of a man and child.
The causes of death were originally treated as unexplained. But West Mercia Police now believe their officer killed himself after murdering his son.
Assistant Chief Constable Damian Barratt said: “David Louden and his three-year-old son Harrison were tragically found dead at their home in Kidderminster on Friday.
“West Mercia Police are now treating the death of Harrison as a suspected murder and the death of David as a suspected suicide.
“Safeguarding reviews are now under way and there will be an inquest to provide an official determination. This is a dreadfully sad case.”
