Complicated triple-lock figure not black and white

THE cost of honouring the triple lock is not as stark as presented.

It is estimated that it will cost £8billion but a good proportion of that will be clawed back in tax.

Not every pensioner pays tax but many do. Perhaps someone could do the maths and provide us with a more accurate figure on which to judge the situation.
