- LEEDS HUDDERSFIELD MATTHEW SHAW

ROB BURROW will make an emotional return to Headingley tonight for Leeds’ showdown with Huddersfield.

And as Rhinos head coach Richard Agar said: “We’re all passionate about the sport, it’s an emotive sport we’re in, but to see a guy, who is superhuman, face up to what he has done is inspirational.”

The former half-back has touched the hearts of the nation with his battle with motor neurone disease.

Finals as part of the club’s legendary ‘Golden Generation’, Burrow, 38, will attend his first game at his old stomping ground in more than a year.

Leeds are helping to launch his new book, Too Many Reasons To Live, which shares the story of his life and his battle with the cruel disease.

Agar said: “It’s always special seeing Rob. He’s not been in and around our camp since February, when he presented Zane Tetevano’s game shirt to him. He’s in good spirits and it will be great to see him – everyone will be excited to see him.

“We have some very fierce and loyal fans at Leeds.

“The Golden Generation team are held in the highest esteem and the way Rob played the game, everything they know about him, the size and the question marks over him, to have such a long and wonderful career, really endeared him to the Leeds faithful.”
