Houssem set to pull strings for Spurs
TOTTENHAM are ready to swoop for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
The playmaker, 23, scored seven goals and claimed four assists in 30 outings last season.
But Frenchman Aouar is among a number of Lyon stars placed on the transfer list by sporting director Juninho. It comes with Spurs also rivalling Atletico Madrid for the attentions of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The 21-year-old Serbia striker hit 21 Serie A goals last season and his club want him to sign a new contract.
Talks have hit a stumbling block, however, with his representatives seeking a clause that will allow him to be sold next summer.
Should Fiorentina choose to sell him this month instead, they will demand more than £60million.
Another potential Spurs target, Inter Milan marksman Lautaro Martinez, is set to stay with the Serie A club.
The player’s agent, Alejandro Camano, is poised to hold talks with Inter this week on an extension to the 23-year-old Argentinian’s contract.
