‘Levy will deal at his price’

- By Paul Brown

HARRY REDKNAPP believes Daniel Levy has a winning hand in his game of poker with Manchester City over Harry Kane.

While the former Tottenham boss thinks Kane will be sold, he is sure Spurs’ chairman will take City for everything he can get.

Redknapp, who worked under one of football’s toughest negotiators for four years, said: “Daniel loves this, it’s a game of poker for him.

“It’s what he thrives on. He will hold out and get every last drop he can out of City to complete the deal.

“I do think they’ll get a deal done. It’s a

matter of time. Eventually, they’ll thrash a deal out.

“It’s time he moved now. Daniel will look at it and think this time next year, he’s another year older, they’ll never get the money they’ll get now.

“They’re looking to bring a few players in as well. They’ve signed a centre-half and are looking at a striker.

“Daniel wouldn’t be spending big money unless he knew that he was getting money back in.”

Kane believes he has a gentleman’s agreement to leave.

But Redknapp told talkSPORT: “If there’s an agreement, it should all be written down.”
