I THINK my wife would divorce me if she found out I’d spent our life savings on a pair of old football boots, even if they were worn by David Beckham.

I like football and loved Euro 2020 (right up until England lost the final on penalties) but I just don’t get the obsession some people have with collecting what are essentially the work clothes of famous football stars.
