RAFA BENITEZ believes Dominic Calvert-Lewin can beat his goal tally from last season.

And the Everton boss says he will make Calvert-Lewin, below, a better striker.

Benitez wants to provide better service for a player who hit 21 goals last season – 16 in the Premier League.

“He has the attributes to score a lot of goals,” said Benitez. “He scored 16 last year and can score more because he is more mature and the way we want to play will benefit him. “He will have chances and score.” Everton, who face Leeds tomorrow, put 18 crosses into the box in the 3-1 win against Southampton last weekend and Benitez is sure CalvertLewin will reap the benefit of the change in approach.

He said: “if we give him the passes and crosses, he will score.”
