- By Mark Reynolds

A CASH machine raider was being hunted by police yesterday after being let out of jail by mistake.

Colin Golding was awaiting sentence for his part in several ATMs being blown up in 2019 and last year.

Police said the 25-year-old was released “in error” and asked for help to find him.

Det Insp Steve Court said the fugitive “knows he needs to return”. Addressing Golding, he added: “Please get in touch with us directly and hand yourself in.”

Golding had admitted conspiring to steal and conspiring to cause explosions in Dorset, Hampshire and the Thames Valley area.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Golding is from Aldershot but also has links to the Surrey and Thames Valley areas.”

He is white and said to be around 5ft 9in tall, slim and with short dark hair.

Det Insp Court warned that “anyone found harbouring him... may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves”.
